A while back when we were first starting out, we got signed by this big, major record company. They flew us to New York City to play for guys up at the top of label. He walked out after the first song and said “I don’t hear any hits.” I remember thinking, “why are we doing this?” For me, it became an issue of heart. We play these songs because we believe in them, whether or not they’re “hits” or whatever that means. Thank you so much for singing along with us tonight. This is our story.

My name is Jon Foreman. I am alive. My music is fighting for hope. When we wrote our album, Fading West, we were filming a movie, traveling around the planet, looking for waves and musical inspiration. I fear failure. I hope to love others with my time on the planet. I regret too much to mention. I miss my daughter. I will never forget the day she was born. I want inner peace. I need love. And I love my friends and family. (x)
